What is Sanatio Research?
Sanatio Research is a continuously updated library that aggregates peer-reviewed research on pornography addiction, sex addiction, compulsive sexual behavior (CSBD), betrayal trauma, and healing after relationship betrayal. Twice a week we search Europe PMC, Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, and Crossref for new studies, which are reviewed before publication and organized by topic — building a single, searchable collection of research in this field.
We believe that access to credible science should not require a PhD, a hospital login, or an account. Whether you are the person in recovery, the partner who was hurt, or the clinician holding space for both — the evidence base for this work should be open to you.
What's free, honestly: everything we publish — every study's title, citation, and published abstract — is free, no account needed. The full text of each study lives on its publisher's site: many are open access (marked Free to read, with a feed filter to show only those), while others may require purchase or library access. If a study is paywalled, emailing the corresponding author for a copy is a long-accepted practice — most researchers are glad to share their work.

Our Curation Standards
Every study in the library is screened for relevance and reviewed by a licensed clinician before it is published. We prioritize peer-reviewed, published research — and we do not hide complexity or genuine disagreement in the field. Science is not marketing. We aim to present what the evidence says, including its limits.
